Your questions answered.

Yes, I work with clients who have undergone physical and emotional trauma. No, I can not help you with insurance billing. See more questions answered below!

How do I get started?

We will start with a 15-minute free consultation to meet and discuss your needs and my ability to provide benefit. If we decide to work together, I will send you the paperwork to complete and return. We would schedule our intake appointment, then assess at the end what our plan is to move forward.

How often would we meet and for how long a period?

Frequency and duration is an individual need which is assessed initially at the time of intake. As we work together, we will decide this mutually.

How do I know that it’s working?

I accept only those clients with whom I feel a connection and a resonance. I work with clients in whom I detect a readiness and ability to grow, learn and benefit by our work together.

Do you work with clients who have suffered trauma and/or physical abuse?

I do work with clients who have suffered physical and emotional trauma. I am certified in the technique called EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. I do not work with clients who are currently dealing with physical abuse as those issues typically require legal intervention.

Will you accept my health insurance? May I use my insurance for our sessions?

No, I do handle any insurance billing. I accept self-pay only. You may use Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, or credit card for payment.

If your insurance reimburses for an “out of network” provider, I am considered “out of network” and may be able to provide you with a Super Bill for our sessions. I am licensed to provide psychotherapy services to clients who reside in CA or OR only. Billing for psychotherapy services requires that I provide a mental health diagnosis. Note: Most providers do not cover couples counseling.

Are you a licensed therapist?

Yes, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California and Oregon. I am licensed to provide psychotherapy services to clients who reside in these states only.
